I have been thinking about placing my photos on a site like Flickr or Photobucket so they are easier to place on threads. Which one do you use and do you like it?

I use Photobucket and have for years. I have no way of knowing if it's the best but it works really well for be. If you decide to use Photobucket, be sure from the start to create albums for everything you might wish to upload. If you wait till later to get organized and start moving images you will kill the links you have posted in the past.
Just a thought. I learned it the hard way.

I use Photobucket. Have for about 2 years now. Although, when I started getting into photography a little more I created a Flickr account, I just can't seem to figure it out. Photobucket interface is so easy to use.

I use and love pBase.com but I am a photo hobbiest who collects coins rather than a coin collector that is looking for a place to stash little images. Because they cater to people like me with big piles of big images, the minimum paid membership gets you 500MB of storage for $23 a year. I am currently only using half of my allotment with over 2000 images large enough to fill many monitor screens. That may be overkill for those more interested in showing their slab labels but its nice for coins needing microscopic examination. pBase rules do not allow you to upload images you did not take yourself (when you buy a coin, the photographer still owns the photos of that coin) so it is not a place for those who gather things off the web rather than shoot them themselves. They do offer a 30 day free trial with limited services.

I too like Photobucket. Being old I really like anything simple and that may not be the best photo program but it sure is easy to use. Been using it for a long time.

    I, also, use Photobucket.

Seems good, altho I haven't used the other.

I like it, easy to use.

  12. Fotki is the best, hands down. I've been using it since 2004, and have 86,000 photos on it. No limits, won't delete things at random, and while it's not free...you get what you pay for. Unlimited photo storage, unlimited control, heck, you can even choose the background colors if you want to right down to the lettering for each different thing.

    There is NOTHING better!

AHHH, yes that free thing. Just one more reason to use Photobucket. It's free, free, free.

The best photo site is your own account with a paid website host if plan to use it for multiple forum posts and for ebay auctions and other things. Many are just a couple dollars a month.
No ads, and no spam. But of course I'm handy dandy with with web design stuff.
But even if you never put up a single drop of HTML in your folders there, you can still upload all of your photos to a folder through their web interface (cpanel). Even password protect the directory(s). You get to setup your own personal email accounts too like: Tater@somedomain.com

    Just another option.

    PS: I DON'T work for a web host. ;-)
