America the beautiful quarters dated 2010 - 2021. the second series after the statehood & territorial quarters. it will be 56 coin in total. i hope i am still alive. what do you think?. are you gonna collect them. i hope we change each year the reverse design of kennedy half dollar too.
can the first year 2010 america the beautiful quarter set go up high?. just like the 1999 statehood quarter set. anyway. i will buy many. opss s s. america the beautiful quarter is the state park quarter. the mint just change the name to look good.
I'm sure that I'll collect them. I really enjoyed the State Quarters so why not keep going with a good thing.
check this out: http://www.coinnews.net/2009/09/09/america-the-beautiful-quarters-introduced/ i don't like the 5 oz silver bullion. why not change it to half ounce or half dollar?.
Interesting that the program goes into 2021 with one issue. I wonder if that'll be the only quarter issued that year or if the Mint will revert back to a 'regular' quarter (whatever that is now!) or if they'll start another series? I guess we have a long time to find out!!!!
I am very excited about this series. The only thing I don't like about it is not knowing what the site list will be! I can't wait to find out what sites we will have. If any one has found a link please post it!
5 oz. bullion coins is an odd sized choice. Will they be a $5 coin also? Size-wise they're not as big as those Australian 10 oz and 1 kilo coins. Wonder how the TPG holders will be adjusted to fit these hefty 5 oz. buggers.
The sites are listed at elaines link above... just click the link and scroll down... or read the quoted list below: The list is also available at Mint News Blog: ABQ
thanks krispy for your assistance. a note to all. because there will be another quarter series starting by next year. the first series prices might take an upward adjustment. unfortunately. i don't collect statehood quarters. just a few scatter rolls on hand. and a lousy complete two sets composed of au to au+ circulated quarters.
Nice to see that they are continuing to keep things intersting with different quarters. The 5 oz silver coin seems to be a little gaudy and over the top. like Elaine I'd like to see a more classic coin like a half dollar or a 1 oz dollar coin.
Does anyone know when the 5 oz. bullion coins will be released? There's nothing about them on the US Mint web site.
Since the penny and nickel are obsolete now, I suspect by 2021 the dime and quarter will be obsolete, as well. This is likely the last design series we'll see...collect 'em while you can!
anything can happen. just like any other country. their lower denomination always gone and replace with higher value coin.
I don't think I'll have a choice but to collect them. My son loved collecting the statehood quarters. At the time it was a valuable geography lesson for him as well since we had the map type coin holder.
how much will the 5 oz silver bullion cost. the intrinsic value right now is $80.85. the lowest selling price based on silver one ounce am eagle bullion is $88.35. presuming is $1.50 over spot times 5. but then. is the mint willing to sell it directly to collectors or simply sell it to the dealers. if to the dealers. then the price will be much higher. beside that. maybe it will be low mintage. then the premium added.
This is the US Mint we are talking about. My guess is they will sell it for $129.99 - 149.99 based on today's silver price.
another 10 year or so. i wonder if the quarter composition metal will be change. hopefully it will be a 22k gold plated one...........
With the last state I'm over it, With the last state I'm over it, 50 of the things was plenty for me.
