The guy on either HSN or MSNBC's coin show claimed once once on the show that he uses (or used) a 2009 UHR gold as a pocket piece.

    Again!

This one has spent some time in & out of my pocket through the years.

Don't worry, It's an "O", and with silver jumping around it is hitting FeeBay this week. (It made me make a bad decision last week and no longer likes me;))

I'm sorry to hear that. This is one of the reasons I have never considered a pocket piece. I don't want to lose it. Plus, I have enough stuff in my pockets that I need everyday...I don't have room for extra baggage. ;)

I've been running an "experiment" since 2000, when the Sac $1 coins came out. I figured they wouldn't circulate much so I started carrying one to see what one would look like after years of neglect since we'll probably never see it in real life as they don't really circulate.
I'm still carrying it, it's a little worn, dark in color, and looks like someone's old brass door handles that have been out in the harsh outdoor environment a good while.

    Side story:
Back when I was a teenager I bought a guys (common-date) morgan dollar pocket piece for $8. It was in F condition and I still have it for the silver content. That was back when silver was still $5-$6 per ounce. So I think I came out on top with today's prices.

I would let the Hunt brothers out so silver can go back to $50 an ounce so I can get rid of my culls

I don't currently have a pocket piece, but I started wearing a ring made from a walking half about a year ago. It has worn from F details to p01 on the outside, the inside still has details.

You should be able to get one for about $14 or less.

You should be able to get one for about $14 or less and if you want to do it go for it - there are millions of them.

My new ( old ) pocket piece arrived today registered mail. I flipped a chilihead for dinner tonight at a hot sauce gathering in Tempe AZ, we had folks from Australia, Indiana, Florida and Phx.......

I got a free dinner but had to pay my own bar tab, 2 beers, not to bad. It is already paying for itself:whistle:

Dont have a strong enough belt to keep adding more stuff to the pockets. got a pouch for the phone, a holster for my security piece, wallet, car keys, everyday things everyone carries, Pen Drive, pocket knife. Just too much stuff. Heck when I go see the doc, I empty out my pockets and loose 10 pounds now.

I keep a few dateless buffalo's in my golf bag for use as ballmarks. When someone shows more than a passing level of interest in the coin; I give them one. Carry an 1897 barber quarter as a pocket piece.
