Um...a modern coin set for that is RIDICULOUS! buy a MS69, will look identical 1/4 price...and I bet if you send it in enough you'll get the MS70

How can you say that??? First they will lower production significantly in 2010 and than even lower mintage's in 2011 to a complete phase out of production. This is inevitable. Now I'm not going to encourage or assist in getting this post off on another issue other than intended by the op. Lets end this discusssion on this matter here. Perhaps you may wish to open your own thread about penny production concerns.

Wow. I feel like a sucker, actually thinking this was true. Glad I didn't go out and spend a bunch of money because of it.

Back on topic. The price is way too high and will be for the next 100 years.

:DDespite what was intended as an april fools joke, the mint is cutting production as a phase out of the penny. Let's move this conversation to another thread if you wish, so not to impose on the op's thread.;)

I thought the price was way to high for this set but also if you were thinking of spending that much wouldn't you expect the 4 cent coins to be PF70 also, he' s offering the Lincoln dollars at PF70 & MS70 but the pennys as PF69:confused:

I can say that because I'm not posting based on pure speculation. I don't have any penny production concerns so no need to start my own thread. Once Congress and/or the Mint acts to stop production of the penny, then there will be something to talk about.

Sorry but I feel this is just more false information.
When or where did Congress or the mint state they were cutting production?
Go ahead and start a new thread but please base it on fact and not what you feel might happen.

Its no problem, were all here to share & discuss coins & I 've no problem with going in another direction. I know in other post I've done the same thing with no disrespect towards the original post , but just getting caught up in healthy discussions is what good forums are all about, sharing knowledge. :smile
