We searched for boxes of Professional Life Cents today, and we couldn't find any. However, we did find two boxes of Log Cabins. Why the first minted this year and not the second or third?
I personally would have thought that we would have found Professional Life or Formitave Years, since those are the most recent cents minted. So, why is it that we found two sealed boxes of Log Cabin Cents? I thought those would all be gone by now.
I don't think in terms of this years cents as being "gone" They're still out there, just not for sale where you are looking. Who knows how many boxes of all three cents issued so far this year are sitting around waiting until the owner thinks he can make a profit. Keep looking they will hit the market at some point.
The reason you found the first released this year, is because they have been circulating longer, and are thus more widespread. Professional Life will be the hardest of the 3 to find as it was just released into circulation.
I must live too far from civilization. I don't see many at all in our area. I was figuring on being patient, but come on...it's September already!

They had boxes of them for sale on ebay before you could buy them from the mint.Here in Ohio I'm finding them in change and in bank rolls.
