I would like to purchase this one to, GERMANY ULM 1704 1 GULDEN KLIPPE SILVER COIN there only showing the one side of the coin. What would you grade it, what do you think it's worth and is it real or fake? Thanks Bob
I'm not familiar with German coins, it's certainly unique. Do you know the silver content and how long it was in circulation for or any other details? Maybe you should at least ask the seller what is on the back, if you can see a pic or whatever. I bought a coin once when I could'nt see the back and the back was toning. Fortunately for me I like toning.
The other side should look like this: http://www.moneypedia.de/index.php/Ulmer_Guldenklippe Here is another modern copy of such a piece: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170347781640 No idea whether the one depicted in the first post is an authentic historic piece. But I would not buy that one from a dealer I do not know. Christian
Thanks, I think I may pass on this one seller hasn't returned anything I've asked so pass!!! Thanks Bob
