New Lincoln Cent - L stands for what

The formative years Lincoln Cent has CLV initials for Charles L. Vickers. Anyone know what the L stands for?

The Mint web site bio for Charles Vickers doesn't specify his middle name.

Could he be the Charles Lester Vickers who lived in Florida in 2000?

 

He could well have although the Mint's bio didn't specifically mention Florida.

The Mint bio notes: "Charles Vickers was born and raised in Northeast Texas. After a tour of duty with the 101st Airborne Division, he went to New York to study at the Art Students League and Frank Reilly School of Art. He also attended the Pratt Institute and the School of Visual Arts.

In 1976, Charles moved to Pennsylvania..."
