are four beautiful liberty spouse gold coin still beautiful?. the prices is up. proof $654.00 and unc $641.00.

 

Those prices make it a little tougher to pull the trigger on the 2009 coins... will wait until they drop back down to the previous price.

 

Spike

A bit of a spike on PMs today. If it hangs on that should be the push up some people have looked for. If not it will be profit taking so more can be turned . Interesting start and the mint jumped right in. Cheap today , or over priced ?

Didn't the mint jump the gun with the price increase? I thought price increases werent supposed to happen until Thursday?

 

this mean the mint knew the gold will move higher than today's price.

sarah polk start selling today. i don't think it will sell much. the price is high. and it is the highest so far.

 

Yep, I have a feeling that the mintage on the next 4 or 5 of these will be very low. One of the next few might be one of the keys for folks who try to build this set in the future.

 

The thing is that they will probably come out with spouse coins for sale when the series is over. That will kill any value and probably more than double the mintage.

 

So...are you saying the Mint may be minting extra coins for sale later? ...and the published mintage figures are erroneous?
