    I am gaining interest in collecting of paper notes and I am wondering if the collecting of consecutive serial #'s draws significant interest among collectors in general. I personally think it is an intruiging aspect of notes that does not relate to coins. If so what is considered a good run of cons #'s, 5? 10? more? what are the feasible possibilities? I am specificeilly taking an intersest in silver certs, I find the intent of their curculation to be fascinating.

    there are a select group that collect consecutive notes. honestly 2 or more is great. it all depends on how many there are and what denomination. i have a few straps of singles but also have many other runs of consecutive notes of all denominations and years. if you check out my links you will see ihave some consecutive notes. silver certificates are usually available on either ebay of heritage. its a lot harder to find those in circulation and even harder to actually find consecutive notes. i have never come across that. gl on your quest :thumb:

    To add alittle to what Urban said;
    Depends on what Series, if they are star Notes, Wide or Narrow variities...
    Study before you buy....if you are interested in Early Stars..I have a couple that are going up for Bid...LOL

    I really don't have any preference at this time except that I prefer silver certs, year or series is of no preference unless you fine folks can suggest someithing that would be wise to steer clear of? And if cons #'s in silver certs are not that common maybe it will add even more challenge to my quest!!

    hello tauferners.
    I just acquired a couple star notes this weekend. one is a silver cert...not sure of the dates off hand.too lazy to look right now.1950 something.
    I know a dealer that usually gives me a discount from his normal price.
    He has a bunch of cool bills.I am looking to get some fractional notes and some consecutive bills in the near future.I also like the funny backs.
    So hopefully this thread can help me as well.
