I like the TP roll of money. The Kiss one is second for me and hate all the rest. Nothing artistic or special about putting a red stamp on money. BTW RIT makes a chemical for color removal that takes red stamps out right away.
I think the KISS note is the coolest looking...but being a gun owner and strong gun supporter...I gotta go with the "Gun Owners$" note.
Yes I like Gene to, the rest not so much. I remember when I was just a kid I was told that defacing money was against the law, is this true. Bob
I think it's illegal if the defacing damages the bill to the point where it must be removed from circulation. I also believe that advertising on currency is also against the law. I could be wrong though.
The Gene note is fun, if I found that I'd keep it as a novelty find. I have found some of the other notes with stamps shown but I'm not too keen on the stamps or the people using our shared currency as a medium of expressing their message/agenda as it forces the receiver to deal with several things: refusing it as money, explaining to someone another person/group's message or reluctantly/accidentally distributing that message for another group... just doesn't seem the right place for doing that. I like the concept of Where'sGeorge currency tracking, but I really hate how much the WG folks mess up notes with their inky stamps. I have entered over $1000 off and on via WG but I have NEVER stamped any of those with WG messages. I have culled a few WG notes from circulation and logged those hits, some I've sent back out. With all that said, the Seattle Art Museum really messed up that $2 note! and that's a pretty brazen advertising campaign. Perhaps they thought $2 notes were okay to mess with since *nobody uses them* and they are readily available. Plus that label blocks a huge piece of the art they were trying to promote. It was a fun link, thanks for sharing.
I have seen some bills with assorted political statements, but like the locksmith that came to my house yesterday spouting off his religious and political views - I ignore them.
I have to love how that avatar of yours, which we know is a creation of some very talented artiste, takes up more room than any other
I'm a gigantic KISS fan, my KISS playlist on my iPod is 82 songs, and counting, with their new album coming out on OCT 6th! I'd have to say that I love that Gene Simmons one
