Found a lot of stuff. 1870 3 Cent Nickel, 1911-S, 1908-S, 1908-O, and 1907-O Barber Dimes in G-VG. 32 Large British Pennies, many from the 1800's, 1939 Australian penny, 1972, 1975, 1976 Canadian Quarters, 1973 Bermuda 25 Cent, 1993 and 1972 France 20 Centimes, 1986, 1987, 1988 Mexican 500 Peso, 3 Mexico 100 Pesos. But my big find was finding several used Australian and British Coin Folders. The Dealer gave me a discount on them and when I took them open and opened them up the British Shilling 1937-1951 folder had coins from 1949 to 1951 in them.

Its a small show (held in the fairgrounds building) but the dealers are friendly and welcoming. They even serve sloppy joes there. I was there for about two hours, by the time I left business was picking up, people getting out of church etc. They also have a raffle for silver rounds that have the Peace Dollar design on them and the grand prize was a $5 American Gold Eagle. One thing about the raffle though, they had drawings every half hour but it seemed like only club members and their spouses won.

What did you pay for the British large pennies?

I have a bunch of them and want to sell, but I have no idea what to ask lately.

    Thanks

So how much were the sloppy joes? Any free coffee?
As to club members and thier spouses winning, that is usually because as club members they feel obligated to purchase large amounts of tickets. If you purchased just one or two and they purchases 10 or 20, the odds are with them of course.
All in all sounds like you did OK. How often do they have those shows? Did you consider joining thier club?

Sloppy Joes were $1.50. Coffee, pop, and donuts were .50.

The Decorah Area Coin Club sponsored the show. It is once at year during late August. I didn't join their club I don't live in the Decorah area. Not that it matters but I want to find a club close to home and in my state.

Decorah's just a tish too far for me to make it worthwhile. I've only ever been to these smallish Iowa shows. All the dealers know each other, kids are running around in between and under the tables, and as you say, home cooked food at good prices.

There's a smallish show coming up in Cedar Rapids at the end of the month...
