Okay, so I normally post three ridiculous ebay auctions per week but I'm laughing too hard to post more than one. I just started laughing hysterically when I saw this. http://cgi.ebay.com/1937-Walking-Li...dual?hash=item2c5090c3da&_trksid=p4999.c0.m14 Oh, and there were 10 bids...
I got there too late to see it. Still Mcarney that is a great service to us less experienced collectors. We can only learn by looking at these things and reading other posters' comments such as your's. Thanks for your ork.
Hahaha looks like deb7513 got rid of her man and is flogging off his gear looking at items sold and items listed , its all guys stuff.
Yep, someone is going to be shocked when they get that coin and it looks just like the picture. Now why would someone bid on a coin they can't even see in the picture? Goes to show you that some people will bid on anything. Bill G
The photographer has cataracts?, someone smeared vaseline on the lens? the camera jiggled? nothing wrong with that picture, have you cleaned your computor screen lately? You wont think its funny when silver hits 40 dollars an ounce. I thought we were bidding in pesos. I am trying to come up with what the buyer might say if asked about their purchase.
Nice photo. And the winner paid 16x face value, that works out to spot silver at $22.40 give or take. But then, the 1937-P is a MUCH BETTER DATE! Best Regards, George VDB Coins
I have one exactly like that at home! It' a very rare die variety...I call it the aquadroupled-die walker. You guys missed out on something really special!!!
I thought this auction deserved an honorable mention in this thread: http://cgi.ebay.com/10-UNDATED-MULE-20p-COINS-2-FULL-COAT-OF-ARMS-SETS_W0QQitemZ270439284025 Ribbit
Creative photography. Why, the reverses are practically mirror images! I see they have Make Offer. I wonder if bid GBP 4,000,000 would they take it? Best Regards, George VDB Coins
