When this is over I will own a copy of the state quarters that they released both P and D and I am not sure if they are proof or not (i think they are).

Is this going to be worth anything or because of the availability they are just going to be worth the face value?

Hey there Mystery45, nice job putting together a set o' these. Did you pull them from circulation? If so, that's quite an accomplishment indeed. I feel I must tell you however that the collection you've put together is not "proof". "P" & "D" coins are business stikes, that is to say that they are coins that the mint produces for circulation. Proof coins are produced at the San Francisco mint and display an "s" mintmark.
As to the value of what you've put together? Basically we're talkin' "face'. Sets like these are rather common and don't command much over their face value. But to a collector ( you ) the value could be priceless.....:D

I agree with green18 nice job collecting and yes they may not be worth much more then face but it's a start and now you can go after the S mint Proofs.

So if they are S mark proofs i take it the value goes up?

My mom got them as a gif to me an my brother.

I knew individually they would be worth face value but i figured as a set they would be worth more. I guess because of the huge distribution supply that isn't the case.

still 100 state quarters isn't to bad i guess. at least 25 bucks worth anyway lol.

On a side note i inherrited a coin collection from a family member. I know there are several silver dollars and some other really old coins in there. she was a small coin collector herself. I need to go through them and see what is in there. I haven't really looked and they are in a safety deposit box.

the pride of my limited collection is still the 1910 indian $10 and the 1907 liberty. along with about 8 american eagle silver dollars.

Nice job. I am another junior member... Wish we had more. My father said everyone on his block collected coins and I am like the only in the school.
