My first post in many days. I do not normally comment on auctions in progress, but this one is different. The following ebay auction has a fake coin and the bidder needs to be aware of the same. http://cgi.ebay.com/WILLIAM-IIII-KING-ONE-RUPEE-HALF-RUPEE-SILVER-COINS_W0QQitemZ280388173052QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_203?hash=item41486ffcfc&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14#ht_500wt_924 ebay item # 280388173052. It is already on $80 and some poor soul does not know that he is being taken for a ride.
The same seller is also calling an ex-mount coin to be a stuck-thru error! http://cgi.ebay.com/WIILLIAM-1111-1-4-RUPEE-ERROR-STRUK-VERY-RARE-COIN_W0QQitemZ280390546805QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_203?hash=item4148943575&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14#ht_600wt_1165 Atleast no one's bidding on this one. Please report both the coins.
I saw one similar but the solder was in the middle of the coin and at first I thought it was a die break but then realized it was an ex-jewelry piece and most likely a stick pin. Ribbit
LOL he is not even clever enough to market his junk correctly. Well, India/China are a couple of bad actors..lots of ancient India fakes out there. Ripley
