The Polk rolls are still in stock. I have a feeling the Mint made more than 30K.

So are they not allowed to appear on coins or currency since no living persons are portrayed on coins or currency.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver died only a couple of weeks ago, yet she was on a commemorative dollar back in the '90s.

You have got to be kidding me? Wow. They would have to be around 100-105 I guess. Well, maybe its not so amazing people live to be that age all the time. Just a tie back to early American history (thats what the grandchild represents).

    Polk Rolls:
According to the latest stats published by Numismaster, the US Mint has sold 27,949 Philadelphia Mint rolls and 27,238 Denver rolls.

Just a thought...Presidential mistress coin series??

He's OLD all right, but not that old. Tyler's youngest son lived to be 87, and he was married to a 30 year old at the time and they had some kids in...needless to say, the guy never really knew his father. I was shocked when I read it, too.
