Hey everyone! I rarely poke around in this section, but wanted to share a recent pick up of mine. It's a 1776 3 Shilling New Jersey Colonial note. I've been wanting one of these like this for about two years now and finally got my hands on one. Tell me what ya'll think!
I too like that line. All of these Colonial's are just fascinating to have and must have a lot of history behind them.
Hi Ryan, I am impressed with your photos and interested in the 1776 New Jersey 3 shilling. Name your price? Wayne
Pretty cool - especially to a guy born and raised in Jersey. What is something like this worth? Curious ...
Oh looky what suddenly became popular. This piece is not for sale, sorry guys. I got it for $140 I think and am keeping it. Such an awesome piece of history that lies in my collection. This is what spices the whole thing up
nice! Isaac Collins was an ancestor of mine, so I keep an eye out for his items. I bought a similar note a few years ago for 90$ but it's in poor condition. Did you notice a watermark?
Wait! There's MORE! I looked at the serial on mine and it's 45360! So there must be a LOT more of them out there. Or at least there was... Mine is signed by Rob Smith, John West?, and J Stevens Junior, as far as I can determine.
Nice note! I think you paid a fair price for the note in such a condition, so congrats on the new acquisition!
Very nice note! I've been looking at getting one of these for a couple years now as well, still have yet to get one though. Congrats on the great pickup!
Beautiful note and condition. Fascinating acquisition, congratulations! Do you have a collection of Colonials?
