The first of three listings for this week is a 100 dollar bill with smudges (considered an error) for one million dollars. Oh, and the guy has a 0 rating

The second is a raw 1955 DDO. I would never pay this much even for a graded specimen let alone a raw one.

The Third is two Candian 25 cent notes for 20,000 dollars. I love the item description.

The first 2 need to be certified to even possibly get the amounts asked and the 3rd has been written on (ink) so certifying isn't going to help it. :goof:

These all prove that sellers do not have to intelligent for Ebay to still make money. I'd love to find out what percentage of items listed, don't sell first time around, which will show just how much Ebay makes for being nothing more than a listing service.

#1 - Terrible closeups, and I don't know what is considered significant smudging but I suspect that's not it.

#2 - Personal rule for coins of that catalogue value: No Slab; No Interest

    #3 - No comment; I don't know Canadian currency.

#2 is a reasonable listing, but I want to see the sellers' faces of #1 and #3 when they get their eBay listing bill.

Gee, I wonder if the writing on the upper right on that C-note is a BEP error as well? :D

You've got to love the photo quality on that Lincoln cent. :thumb: For the asking price you think they could at least add decent photos. I guess if the photos were good quality you could actually see if it is fake or not.

#1 I just love to see what some of these guys try to get away with LOL!!
#2 I've got some and didn't come close to paying even a fraction of that price once again crazy stuff!!!
#3 Don't know much about Canada money but thats way out there.
I agree with Kanga, I'd also like to see there face when they get there ebay bill. Wow how do they come up with this stuff and where do they get there pricing from?

Unfortunately, the sellers only have to pay a max of $4 insertion fee. If the item sells is when ebay gets its payday. If the item doesn't sell, the seller pays only the insertion fee.

#1 is a (0) f/b seller and probably has no clue he's going to get hit with a listing fee even if it is only $4.

#2 has a reasonable amount of experience but it's older. Probably has forgotten a lot.

#3 is from Cyprus and relatively new and no selling experience. Due for a wakeup call, but let's see eBay get it's money from him.

Ebay Buyer - At those prices you aren't going to sell many,
Ebay Seller - Yeah, but I only need to sell one.

The impulse buy at 3 AM is the sport of kings.

Last week I've sold 3 dozen rolls of the new Lincoln cents (Professional Life) for $18.00; $15.00; $8.00 and $4.50 each. Same rolls but the ones that end between 1am-4am east coast time always go for more money.
