I got this with a lot of 100 Standing Liberty quarters. My photo skills are horrendous, just wondering what you think?

Click on the image and it should take you to the obverse as well.

That Barber has been polished and then somehow hideously re-toned. Send it to NGC and see how many problems they can list on the label. Just kidding, couldn't resist.

I don't know if it is fake or not. The weight is ok, and is not magnetic. I don't know what to think, as it was free. I got 100 slq's and this, at first I thought it was a joke or something.

It is probably real, but it has so many problems that selling it is so difficult that giving it away is easier. Now that monster is your problem instead of his. It is like hot potato with a problem coin. Now you have the unenviable task of getting rid of it yourself.

My suggestion is to do a CT contest. The first member to wirte :I want that coin" wins the contest. Then you only have to hope that the person wasn't kidding and will actually give you there address.

Of course, you could try spending it, but I am sure whomever you give it to will not recognize it as a real quarter and refuse to take it.

Good Luck with that thing. LOL!

From the photo's it looks like it had environmental damage and someone tried to fix it up.

Sorry can't tell if it is counterfeit or not.

LOL, add that one to the list. Now the NGC label says: Cleaned, Polished, Artificially toned & environmental damage. Run a knife down the obverse and stick it in a PVC flip and we will cover all bases.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter. I sell all kinds of low end coins all the time out of a 2'x2' case in my jewelry store. It is amazing how much money people will spend on a coin that has the same year as their birthday as long as you can tell them something about the coin, plus silver is so hot right now, it is unreal. The old date coins I have people buy just because they are old. The people that know a little about coins usually ask for cc coins and I always have some. Net result, if I have to carry this around in my pocket until it is dust, I'll do it just for the heck of it.

Put it on eBay as amazing toning and P/L.

    It'll sell for big bucks.
