    Hello weekend coin warriors:)

What are your opinions on this 1930 D Wheat Penny. I am assuming this is a planchet error. I only have a few of these types of coins and find them interesting. Any information would be greatly appreciated. As always thank you for your time and patience.

corrosion damage e.t.c that might be a lamination on the obverse but I doubt it is.

That's a lamination that took off half that obverse side.

Ok then wasn't sure weather it was a lamination or was caused by corrosion.

I feel like its probably some of both... definitely looks like its been through some tough conditions in it's life:(

That's a nice serious lamination error. Something has gotten into the coin causing corrosion.

    Very nice lamination error!

I've been seeing a lot of early wheat lamination errors on CT recently lol.

Thank you it's definitely got character.
Maybe this coin is proof that Abe really had a FoHawk. This may change things. ;)
