Hello. While going through a roll of Keel Boat nickels I came across 7 of them with this anomaly (the "S" in CENTS appears to have a blob, also the "K" in CLARK seems to be filled on a couple of them). I tried finding it on Variety Vista and Wexler's page. Is this considered a die break? Thank you.
I should have said chips, one in the S in CENTS and one in the K in CLARK. Very common but nice to find.
The upside is that your eye is training to see 'differences' useful across the spectrum of errors and varieties. Most chips/breaks attributable to die wear aren't very valuable, but some die wear issues can be surprising. Afraid not added premium here though.
You got a good attitude, Ronnie. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're the type we like helping. You'll hit something. At this rate, you're a cinch for it.
These had quite a few bag marks. I'm not educated enough to know the die breaks and lamination errors yet, but I do have them all saved.
