Cool story here, my dad collected coins back before I was born in 1969. He stopped collecting and lost interest after I was born. He has given me 4 rolls of half dollars that he got from the bank in NY. He told me he pulled some out of a roll to buy some milk for me when I was a baby, but other than that he never open or pulled any others out. He just sent them to me because he knows I collect now. He said he never ended up looking at them and he is not into coins at all. I wonder what else he has stashed away.

Imagine finding rolls like these at the bank today.

    3 Walking Liberty
    2 Franklin
    28 1964 silver Kennedy
    44 1964-69 silver Kennedy

Nothing older than 1969, I dont know much about these series, but I will start looking into them.

I took photos of the best Liberty and Franklins all have been heavily circulated. The Kennedys are much better, example of one of the silver Kennedys.
I think I will give him more than just a small thanks, maybe a bottle of wine.:kewl:

found this jefferson while searching this weekend... It does not appear to be post mint damage, has anyone seen this before? I posted it in the error coins section but have not gotten any replies, so I assume it must be super rare and worth a million dollars ;)
    THANKS!

Well I have to quit whining every time somebody post about their great finds while mine isn't great it was still pretty cool. No WAM or CLAM but a 1896 INDIAN in a bank roll that was the oldest I have ever found.

Don't you folks go crossed eyed looking at all those coins, I've tried to do the DDS coins through a 10x loop & had trouble focusing my eyes for a while : )
