Tonight I learned that a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope.
I picked up my boxes of coins from the bank today and pulled 64 Tall Grass Prairie "W"s from the 2 boxes of quarters. 37 in the first box and 27 in the 2nd box. I think that qualifies as a kaleidoscope :)

    Aren’t those worth like $20/pop?

I've been selling them to a guy for $10/per. I've so far sold ~120 of them.

Man, I should hunt quarters. Though with my luck I'd search 10 boxes and have nothing to show for it. That is awesome that you found that many.

I do 2 boxes a week and don't normally do this well.

Holy cow! Congratulations - that's a great haul. I looked through 30x rolls (I believe box contains 50x rolls?) and found zero West Point quarters. I was hopeful to get my hands on at least one in the wild, but it seems they all ended up in your two boxes! :D

The people who distributed them to circulation didn't do a very good job. Some places have a bunch and other places have none.

Yeah I don't think they did much more than toss the 2 million onto the top of the bin and then "sort" them off to whichever branch which then unevenly distributed them.

As far as I am concerned they don't even make it to my wanted list. But, I am glad to see @furryfrog02 get a nice mess of them. Way to go.

I too have little interest in collecting them personally, but that being said, I'd be delighted to find some in circulation (to flip, of course), and to hit a hoard like that would really be a rush. I can sort of see why so many folks enjoy the hunt.

I was really into getting them just to have a set for each of my kids and myself. The rest I have used to trade and/or flip for things I really collect :).
