A scyphate coin of the pre-Islamic Himyarite kingdom of modern-day Yemen, ~1st century AD. They were famous for trading myrrh and frankincense with the Romans.
    Raydan mint.
I guess the language is Sabaean, it reads 'MDN BYNI RYDN’. C65A5EAF-275B-4CFC-9EE0-23AEE007C01D.png Next, a scyphate silver coin.

Here's my barbarous radiate, with the obverse of Tetricus I (off centre), and the reverse of Tetricus II! (But with PIETAS and III in exergue rather than PIETAS AVGG)

How many examples in numismatic history are there of a coin showing someone holding their own head? There can't be many others.

The Mainz/ Erzbistum is a fascinating place to collect coins from. Many Cities in Germany where ruled by Abbesses/ Cardinals/ Archbishops/ Bishops. The Pope even had more power then the Emperor. The Heritage "Paramount" event later this month has spectacular stuff, that dreams are made off. Included is a AV 25 Dukat from my birthplace/ Julich-Cleves-Berg/ commerating the Dukes Wedding.

John, I think we discussed this before, but my Mother’s side is from Schanckweiler (west of Bitburg). Been there myself a couple times. And, I have visited the Castle at Berg, as well as the towns around: Julich, etc.

    Gorgeous area of Deutschland.

Here's the trifecta coin from Zurich, a Guldentaler of 1512, Dav. 8771. This isn't my coin (I wish it was....).
