OK, here's a fun thing to do: share your best circulation find story. For "Circulation" I'll accept anything that was not purchased from a collector or store, so getting it from the bank counts.

Was it a 1928B $2 USN from the bank?

    Or getting a 1934A $10 I-* mule in change?

    (Unfortunately neither happened to me!)

Hmm, I don't have 1 great find.... I have 3, lol (because none of them are super-fantastic, just pretty good).

First was at my university, I got 2 Barr Notes back in change at the post office there.
Then, a few days later, I went back again, and again, got 2 Barr Notes!!

Another time, also at my university, I was volunteering for Psi Chi (we helped out at the concession stand at the stadium) and I was the cashier ( :) :) :) ) and I got a 1963A 1$ note in change (went nice with those 1963B Barr's)

lastly, I got this at the bank (along with a few others, but they weren't stars)

I think that I may have found a Canadian dime that was struck out of collar yesterday night at work. I'm still not sure if it's the case , I will go at the coin shop tomorrow to see what he thinks. This is the best I can do because I never look in change for anything other then silver stuck coinage.

Is it because it's a 1950 ? or am I missing something. You will have to excuse my ignorance since I'm a world coin collector.

Mine has to be the honey of an ATM machine I found in Thailand. Almost every time I use it, it spits out uncirculated sequential serial number notes! On my last trip, I got these 1,000 Baht notes:

Yesterday, I got 10 uncirculated sequential serial number 500 Baht notes!

in the 1950 E series only 3 districts had notes printed. New York, Chicago, and San Fransisco. so there is a premium for these notes.

No story, got this in change at a gas station a few years ago. Oldest note I've seen by far.

This is probably mine. It doesn't look like much, but it is in CHCU and comes from a print run of only 640,000

I was in the Chicago Airport and got a really nice $1 Star note in change..it was easily an AU ...forgot the district but is was worth $75 bucks or so...

I awarded it to some lucky participant in a Paper Money Contest.
Can't recall who got it..but I am sure they know who they are.

Nearly all the currency I have in my collection, I have pulled from circulation. One of my more interesting finds was a 1963 $5 US Note with red seal. I was about 14 years old and was in my local Rite Aid store when the lady in front of me received it as change. I told her that I was a coin collector and liked this stuff and asked her if I could trade out her red seal $5 for one of my regular ones. Luckily she did. I still have it to this day.

    Let's see.

I've found a full strap of ~1934 $10's and a full strap of ~1934 $20's. There were a couple 1928 notes mixed in.

    I've found a full strap of ~1950 $20's.

I've found 3 2003A $2 Star notes so far (two are consecutively numbered)

    I've found a 1950E $10 Chicago District Star Note

I've found probably more than a dozen ~1934 $100 bils.

I found $750 in consecutively number 1976 Richmond $2 bills last year.

I found a full strap of 1995 $2 star notes.

I'm just going off the top of my head right now.
