Definitely looks like FB. What year is it? It looks like it's in a TPG holder. If it didn't get the FB designation, you "waz robbed".

Pretty darn close though. We must have merc dimes collectors here that can say if it is or not... wait for their opinions....

It's as full as they get. Always give extra scrutiny to the middle one, that's the most important one they want to see all the way through.

I was asking only because of this from NGC:

Based only on the photo, there may be a frown from the TPG on the center band slight weakness.

Full band criteria denotes separation of the two bands:

I believe the issue with this coin is a perceived interruption of the band separation, as indicated below.

Based upon this photo and not having the coin in hand, the coin did not receive the full bands designation.

When you read the criteria for the first time it’s natural to take a mechanical approach. Look at the crease. It goes through without breaks.

It is early on a Thursday and I feel like receiving some criticism so I'll be the minority and say, no, not full bands. The part directly in the middle of the middle bands draws my eye as not being fully separated in the pictures. My eyes may be deceiving me, but in my gut appreciation, if I can look and immediately see a suspect spot, and not be a professional grader, I have no doubt those who do it for a living will spot it too and designate not full bands. Still a beautiful coin for '29 though!

Without an enlarged and clear photo of the bands, we cannot make that determination. My enhanced photo indicates two points where there may be disturbed material which closes the gap, specifically the left arrow, which shows a hit and material moved into the gap between the bands. The disturbed material also is present on the original photo in the thread. The issue, to me, is whether the gap between the bands is closed by this moved material.

TPG opinions are not finite or infallible.
