Saw a set of Mario themed coins on best buy's website. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sunris...-collectible-coin-set/6438563.p?skuId=6438563 Thinking it would be interesting to my kindergarten aged nephew. For me, looking through coins with my dad probably sparked my initial interest. Anyone here get into collecting through maybe some non-traditional coins like these?
Thanks for the link. I just picked up a set for my son. I don't know about "collectability" but he loves Mario and he loves coins so win/win. And for $5? easy choice.
We have purchased plastic coins, currency, and credit cards that are exact duplicates of the real thing for our granddaughters. It has gotten them to ask questions and for the older one, has gotten her collecting the real thing. She is my little Numismatist and I'm am hoping to continue her enthusiasm through her formative years and beyond.
