Almost every day members post and ask how much their coin is worth . In response , someone always pulls a figure like " picking from midair" . Where does everyone get their Values for Error Coins ? Serious answers please . I've been using the CherryPickers' Guide but it was last published in 2009 ! I look at Ebay sometimes but the prices are all over the place and a lot of Errors are not alike . HELP !!!
For me it is my personal buying experience. Then there is.. Mike Byers has an amazing website.. If you don't know about it then check it out https://minterrornews.com/ Click on Price Guide in his menu. Then check out his dozens of issues online. This is his main website.. https://mikebyers.com/
Ya beat me to it. Variety's aren't that hard especially when you have coinfacts to use for the big ones. Errors on the other hand are a bit more difficult if you aren't perusing ebay on a daily basis.
I'm still waiting on my book by Joe, but being snowed in isn't helping. As for values of errors . . . I repeat what most others say; It's worth what somebody is willing to pay. If you are trying to put a value on your total collection, most references would be in the ball park, otherwise, list it on eBay and see what it goes for.
