Not not sure what you would call this 1992 d if it has issues with the plating or puddling or whatever its called it I'm not sure but I'd like to learn, thank you Greg
You can see the DDD on the date and LIBERTY and Split plating on the Reverse. Common worn die strike issues found on copper plated zinc cents.
These are cheap, plated planchets, and they’re violently struck. That’s all that happened here. The cheap thing came apart a little.
It has all the signs of DDD, Die Deterioration Doubling or minted by a worn die and Split Plate Doubling. Very common and worth face value. A nice example and worth of a 2 x 2 flip for educational purposes.
