Found a 1990P half dollar with a 270 degree rotated rev, maybe. Or it may be a compartment coin. If it is a compartment coin, how do I open it or try to open it? THis is the hardest picture I have ever taken.

I think it is a machined. Perfecly good coin, perfectly good machinist. This is why China makes all our stuff, we are too busy playin tricks. WHY!?! WHY!?! Help me Oprah!

If it's a compartment coin it should have a different tone when dropped

    Noost,

If it is a compartment coin, which it appears to be, then try the following: Place the coin, Obverse side down (as the removable piece appears to be the Reverse) on a rubber surface. Take another small piece of rubber (although a large eraser might work) and press down on the Reverse very hard and turn Counter-Clockwise. If that doesn't work, then try some WD-40 down in the seam, wipe off the excess and try again.

It does make a different sound when dropped.

I'll give that a shot Huntsman, thank you.

Well, I put it in the freezer overnight and then heated it up this morning. Here is the prize.

Cool! It's amazing what some folks will do with too much idle time and idle hands!

Mine has a Mexican Centavo inside. Mine is also about 35 years old. A magician should never divulge his secrets (outside of the CT error forum).

    Very best regards,
