Has anyone seen one of these before? Is it even real? Any information would be super helpful! Also, how much would you say it’s worth?

Counterstamps definitely not an error. Done by a person.

I haven't noticed if there is a counterstamp thread, but folks collect these. Some counterstamps are more sought after than others. There are sites, as I understand, that list details about counterstamps. You may want to investigate. Good luck!

Some counterstamped coins are pretty valuable. I'm sure that there are books on the subject that have the counterstamps researched. I regularly pulled nickels with NRA stamped on them. I noticed them during CRH events...got one in my change. So maybe someone close by is stamping away at night. Probably saw about 20...kept a few somewhere in the pile.

Not much I can add except, welcome aboard The CT Train and hope you enjoy the station stops along the way. :)

I’ve googled and can’t find anything with the WSCC as having counter stamped coins. It’s driving me crazy to know now. Although I had no idea until this post counter stamped coins existed

It certainly can be exciting. We see modern counterstamps that aren’t all that exciting. Lincoln cents with Kennedy counterstamps are common enough. And not very interesting to me. But old coins with them creates some intrigue.

Anyone can literally stamp anything they want on any coin. There are thousands of different counterstamps on coins..

Just a PMD coin in my opinion. Value? None to me, but I'd throw it in with the oddities I have. Welcome and enjoy the ride.
