Having recently dealt with some fake Morgan Dollars I bought on Ebay, I would appreciate some opinions of these two Morgan Dollars I saw on Ebay.
They have an unusual fake look in my opinion, but I'm hoping for some expert advise.
    What do you think?

    Here is the seller's auctions:

I've heard the advice of going with your first gut feeling when grading Morgan's that maybe fake, but I'd wait for @Morgandude11 to chime in.

Genuine. Beijing’s finest. Would not even have to pick it up to determine that it is a really poor quality fake.

two fakes. as obviously mentioned abovve.

First thing I saw was the 1903 date. really quite poor.

1904 looks a little better... I guess? Not really.

    sorry this happened to you

They have been darkened, then cleaned to give the illusion of age and look fake to me, but the fakes are getting better.

Before the reverses were posted my very first reaction was horribly fake.

Absolutely no detail around the eyes.
The dates are wrong, even between the two posted.
The dentils between the two aren't even consistent.
    No details on the stars.

    That's before the reverse!

    @Morgandude11
I was thinking, these two morgan's (I can't even justify capitalizing the name) appear they could even be cast as opposed to struck. Thoughts?

Thanks. Look at the word DOLLAR on both coins. Notice anything? Like the break in the R in exactly the same? From your earlier photos these are from two different years, a 1904 and a 1903. That should tell you something about them. My feeling is that both of them are genuine, genuine China to be exact.

...which is why the smut surrounds the 1904 to make them look different (misdirection).

My warning to newbies to the Morgan series once again. Unless you know Morgans very well, DO NOT buy uncertified coins, especially not on eBay. Morgan Dollars are the most frequently counterfeited coins.

But reputable & legit sites like JMB & APMEX are okay to buy raw coins from right?

Ive never heard of them selling fakes and they’ve sold billions of dollars worth.

Best advice, don't but raw morgans on eBay. Buy some slabbed ones. Play with them a while. You'll know what your looking at when it comes to raw ones, then you will be able to buy raw later. That's the advice I took. It worked for me.

Thank you for all of your help.
I guess I'm learning to spot some fakes.
I just checked the seller again and he has taken down all of his auctions and he is no longer a register user on Ebay.
