1997 penny. possible a new doubled ear?

    It could be a large die chip or its just apart of the design.

    It's definitely not part of the design. I already compared it to another example

    Can you tell if it is a small lamination of the copper foil? Likely not but about the only remaining possibility. Jim

    It does not resemble elimination to me, but I do not know what a lamination of the copper foil would look like. Honestly I've never heard of that until now
