Well, according to a discussion we were having in another thread this morning, in what's supposed to be this bear market, it SHOULD go for $416.87 now. But I don't see that happening.

My guess with the buyer's premium, I'll say: $1,220.15. People go nuts over the star designation and the BP will really bump it up. This may be the finest example and maybe the only blast white '37 with a star designation.

BTW, I hope I'm wrong so you can get it cheaper! Good luck. Thanks for the contest! :thumb: Awesome prizes.

Vess1: It's quite funny you said this, because I read that thread as well and because of it, decided in this contest to test this 'theory' out by going low, not that low, but lower than I think this coin might actually finish for. ;)

Some people have more money than brains.... let's say $1460.00 (but in this economy it should sell for half that).

It's probably going to go for $2005, because I'm going to try sniping the coin with a high bid of $2000 w/ about 30 seconds left ;) just kidding, but I'm always hesitant about posting info on a coin I really want before an auction is over!!!!

My real guess is $854.25 and good luck!!!

I do want the coin, but it is not first on my list. I will come strong and hope to win. Besides, I don't think I have ever seen a member of this forum say they collect registry quality Washington quarters. Something I find very odd, because Washington collectors are pretty common.

I collect Washington Quarters, but at a level that I can afford! LOL! The guy that built the Richmond collection said it best - "I didn't buy the best there was, I bought the best I could."

On my set it is mostly AU/MS with most of them being graded so far. I have some 66's and some 65's...some AU's and some MS62's....most are MS but not top POP.

I hope that the winning bid is 550$, that probably will not cover the reserve tho.
