Hello, I have no experience with quarters, but my friend today showed me this one he found. It's a 1991 P Quarter, except it looks like it is all copper. Attached are some photos, and help is appreciated! Thank you!
I don't think it's an error... It just looks like it had a hard life. Maybe spent some time in the ground.
Weak outter clad coating. I've seen them before and the prices vary depending on condition. You can probably get a couple of bucks for it on Ebay. Ribbit
This quarter is simply discolored. FYI, there's no such thing as "weak cladding". You can have a thin clad layer, but you'll never be able to tell because it never becomes translucent. So copper cannot "bleed through".
This is a normal coin a missing clad layer you would know if you had one here is a good example of one. JC
You can tell by the edge. It shows the copper layer underneath. But the rest is environmental damage as stated above.
