All Copper Quarter?

    Hello, I have no experience with quarters, but my friend today showed me this one he found. It's a 1991 P Quarter, except it looks like it is all copper. Attached are some photos, and help is appreciated!

    I don't think it's an error... It just looks like it had a hard life. Maybe spent some time in the ground.

    thin clad layer at best, but more likely worn as consensus seems to say

    Weak outter clad coating. I've seen them before and the prices vary depending on condition. ;)

    You can probably get a couple of bucks for it on Ebay. :D

    This quarter is simply discolored. FYI, there's no such thing as "weak cladding". You can have a thin clad layer, but you'll never be able to tell because it never becomes translucent. So copper cannot "bleed through".

    This is a normal coin a missing clad layer you would know if you had one here is a good example of one.

    You can tell by the edge. It shows the copper layer underneath. But the rest is environmental damage as stated above.
