It has enough luster for an AU grade IMO, but the obv wear leads me to say XF45. Recent auction records would give it ~$900 if you could get it to grade that in plastic.
I'll jump in at AU-50 and add a + darn nice coin and your lucky to have it!!! Envious $900 is in the wheel house (all u can get) not every day they come by I'm more on left wheat straw on reverse than beard and hair quite normal?
Wow Top!! Sweet score. I am in at $900.00..... However in order to get that kind of cabbage you will need have that beauty entombed in a TPG slab. Folks in the know don’t want to pay that kind of money for high profile pieces that are not verified.
Thanks Randy!! Nice anniversary gift from my wonderful wife last year. It was our 45th anniversary!! Can't wait for the 50th!!
Been married here 37 years long time same ride! She's never even bought me a wheat penny? Say's floor's are sagging about every closet has a safe and guns! Don't you have enough coins ! No still have 20-25 I need! Congrats Sarg Says nothing about the cameras! Though
I think Eddie has it nailed at EF40. It's a coin that's been around the block, but has not ventured much further. Beautiful au naturel cent.
I'd like to say something unique, but I have to camp out in the EF-40 tent. High details show wear, on a beautiful coin. That's one special lady you've got there. Don't trade her in. Happy anniversary. As is, raw, I'd say $800. Get it attributed and slabbed and I think you can see $1,000-$1,100.
Hey @1stSgt22 , I gave you my grade but I forgot the Value . A present of this magnitude is valued at : The Love and thought put into this great marital feat is amazing and in my opinion PRICELESS in my Book . Forty -five years is truly amazing . Congrats !!
I have been looking for one at a good price for awhile and have viewed many in recent months. I would call it XF40 imo
Thanks for all of the replies. The dealer I bought it from gave it a grade of AU!! Just wanted to see how far off he was!!!
Yes he did but with a small discount. Still probably paid a little too much but it's mine and I'm happy with it. Never thought I would ever have one. Guess that's all that really matters!
