Hello. I think your confusing me . I researched the doubled ear and found a 2004 but not 2005. Don't know what to tell you. Looks like the Ear took a few hits if you ask me . Since I found it ,here try this year . 2004-D 10C FS-101 Doubled Ear (Regular Strike) Roosevelt Dime - PCGS CoinFacts
Dimes are well known for DDD, MD and all worthless doubling. http://doubleddie.com/144801.html Your Dime looks like MD, flat and shelf like. Here is the doubled ear that Sal has posted and you can see the difference in the details.
hey Shaun Schafer your pictures are really good. i don't have near the experience that most of these guys do. after looking at your coin from different angles it appears to me now that your coin has MD or machine doubling. thanks to Pickin and Grinin for the heads up...good luck Shaun on your next coin....
ok my bad, still learning. i was looking at the "V" like notch in the ear. i was saying they look similar. can you point me in the right direction? last thing i wanna do is give bad advice.
Thanks guys for the feed back. The ear lobe looks doubled to me so hopefully I find something more than nothing.
I don't have the capability of highlighting the second ear. But, the second ear, has major separation. The ear lobe starts at the ear canal, then you will see the helix (outer ear) point towards 2-3 o'clock on the coin, going into the hair. It is raised and has the same curvature.
