    I'm not sure what the message is. You say you bought the coins for their numismatic value, not their silver value...but you're concerned about their premium over spot?

    "First Strike" is meaningless, but the slab serves a useful purpose...and isn't free. If your goal is numismatic appreciation, I would focus more on the lower mintage proofs...since none of these coins will see their numbers decline from circulation.

    I don’t get the point of this thread. Some moderns collectors do collect them for their numismatic value. I have a few of the W mint ASEs in 70 grade. What is the purpose of that video??

    Lol...but what does it mean? Is there just one working die that deteriorates over time so the first ones are the best? :confused: Is a "First Strike" MS-70 superior somehow to an MS-70 without it?

    Just means it was done in the first 30 days. The labels are generally more attractive with designs that adds to the presentation.

    What I see from the video is that graded bullion coins are a lousy buy — but he’s making them anyway.
