I found a 1993 cent with a slight hole where the mint mark should be. I am wondering if this may have happened when the mint mark was being stamped? Or PMD ? What do you guys think? SingleShot0000.jpg SingleShot0001.jpg SingleShot0002.jpg SingleShot0003.jpg View attachment 1263703

I think it was "Struck" Normally and received some kind of damage . PMD , final answer .

"Zinc Rot" is just one of the reasons that I call all Lincoln cents minted since the latter part of 1982......Crappy Zincolns!

Agreed... When I experiment on a coin... I almost always use Zincolns... One less Zincoln the better!
