Went to the coin shop today and picked up some nice stuff. Got a 1923 BU peace dollar for $16 and a proof 1963 dime with light cameo on both sides for $2. I know it's hard to tell if I got good deals without pictures, but assuming the peace is a 62/63 and the dime is a 65/66, how do you think I did? I'll post pictures later (kind of excited to photograph the peace dollar, but I'm not home right now).

How would you guys grade it?

I'm not the best at grading Peaces but I'd have to say MS62-63. The only concerns would be the scratch from the L to the forehead and the nick in front of the mouth.

EDIT: Took a second look and decided to lower the grade to like a 60-62 becuase of the lines on the cheek and the huge cuts at the sun rays on the reverse
    And great pics!!!

The one from the forehead isn't very noticeable in hand. Here are better pictures.

Well struck, lots of luster, only a few minor detracting marks. MS-63 with a possible shot at '65, IMHO.

    excellent photos.....

    Very Cool

Any time you can get out of a coin shop with a couple of nice coins for under $20 is a great day. I have a hard time doing that myself. I think I need to learn to take less money with me:D
