    That’s about $0.22 conversion value.

switzerland is notable for having one of the oldest circulating currencies; coins minted since 1850 (I believe) are still legal tender.

also, Federatio Helvetica is Switzerland in their language, don’t ask me why. It’s some sort of Latin thing

It was shortened from Confoederatio Helvetica and used for simplicity because Switzerland has 4 official languages

Thank you for the replies! I think it's a nice looking coin; not sure why I hadn't noticed it yet.

They do have a classic look to them.
I've actually found a couple from the 40s in nickel rolls I've searched.
Like @hotwheelsearl said, they haven't changed the design forever.

Yes, reminds me of coins from 100 years earlier!

I sometimes find 10 or 20 rappen from the late 1800s in the junk bin, mixed in with coins from almost 100 years later. An amazingly long-lived type.
I think this one below was a 25 cent bin find. Still worth almost 25 cents face.

Interestingly enough, a Swiss 10 Rappen was my most recent Coinstar find.

Are you familiar with the potential bounty of the Coinstar reject slot?
