I'm wondering what everyone's opinions are on this are the 2009 native american $1 coins to be worth alot like the 2001-2008 sacagawea's or are they doomed to be worth 2000 sacs from over production?
Agreed for 99.9% of them but there always seems to be a market for the top pop high end graded ones for any year.
well when you have to pay 35.95 a roll from the mint and on e-bay the 2008 rollls are going for $170 a set...I personally think that's worth alot more then cost...
you might be right about that but you think that there's any money to be made in the 2009 sacs? or are they just another 2000 sac? and should just wait to buy when or if the mint goes back to private circulation?
You'll have to ask the new collectors five years from now. Coin collectors have acquired however many they want - whether that be zero or rolls and rolls. Based on comments I'm seeing the past year, I think modern issues are a lot hotter than a lot of the more traditional series. Check the threads out. How many seated liberty threads are there? How many about what the mint is putting out next? Polish your crystal ball
i don't think they will be worth more than face unless in perfect condition anyone can get them for face value from the mint in the common wrapper. plus the mint has already made approx 35 million from Phil and Denver. With this high mintage, it will make them less desirable. Snowman
