Quick run don't walk to your nearest ASPCA adopt every animal they have....dog /cat does not matter ...when dealing for 1st place in a contest for a roll of 2009 Jeffersons one must think out side of the box! Kids are cool...but a cute puppy or kitten is the deal sealer....fill up your living room with your newly adopted and have a friend take the picture......however the cost of the life span of a cat or dog over a 10 year peroid is....you ready for this.....$70.000USD ! You might want to rethink my plan....settle down and have a kid....opps the contest is over in 8 days!!
Wow is that a jackalope or a jack rabbit. That is huge. Very cool pictures so far. It will be a tough decision. Here is bobbeth87's picture that Im hosting since it was too big to post
I dunno if I've been a member long enough, but here you go! It's a picture of me playing with some fire poi taken with a long exposure (maybe two seconds) by a friend with a sweet camera. no effects or post processing. Also thats my friend Jay playing djembe in the background BTW for those that don't know, poi (outside of the Hawaiian food) is a form of performance art/excercise/dance were you spin a weight on the end of a string in each hand - sometimes that means LEDs and sometimes the "string" is a chain and the weight is a kevlar head that you dunk in Coleman fuel then set on fire - in this case for instance. Just one of my hobbies outside of numismatics.
This is a picture taken of our first out truck while at a working structure fire at a company that made fiberglass tanks.
Seems to me like the fire truck should of been standing by two pictures ago! Page up...:loud: Run that hose line up two pictures and put that dude out! LOL
Don't worry! hehe I'm wearing a NOMEX(flame retardant) suit like the one park rangers use for doing prescribed burns. With that, I sometimes intentionally set my legs/arms and body on fire during the show to mess with the crowd!
:smile very pretty dog! I had an all white S/H in college. for the last 28 years Dal's I'm always seeing spots! We are dog people here....labs ,Goldens, Chessy bay retrevers....In my younger days I waterfowled the Md eastern shore. We had a dog a golden her name was Amber! Great dog only one prblem... she would not give up your duck/Goose unless you had payment of a 1/4 PBJ sand. or a Dunkin Muchum donut hole! Oh it better be Skippy PB she knew the difference!
I hope this one will count. It's actually two photos that were photoshopped together to complete the rainbow and was taken while I was deployed with the National Guard to Kosovo in 2005. The view is from our observation deck right after a thunderstorm. Hope you all enjoy.
In 2007 we had a huge ice storm, freezing rain and very cold temperatures made for some interesting pictures. I took a bunch at sunset, they are all spectacular....this is one of my favorites! It was taken with the same camera I take my coins pics with.
That's funny about the pb&j. We used to have a cocker spanial who would eat just about anything. I always told my wife the I did not like lowfat cheese and she told me you couldn't tell the difference. Our dog proved her wrong though. we would always put his meds in a slice of american cheese because cheese was on of his favorite foods. one day she wrapped the pill in lowfat cheese and he wouldn't touch it!!! I told her , if the dog won't eat it, I'm not eating it! :thumb:
