Entry post. Thank you for doing this. I would put the credit toward the 1921 mercury. I'm close to finishing the set with 4 to go after this (which will take some considerable fund'age).

Thank you for your continuing generosity.
I would put the money toward the 1777 5 kopeks of Russia.
I think Russian history is so fascinating.

Entry Post...... LordM, your generosity is absolutely of a higher calling...... If I were blessed with a win, I would forward the gift to a young collector here on the forum whose enthusiasm for the hobby makes me smile when I read his posts.

Thank you for once again hosting one of your great giveaways, @lordmarcovan! This time, I'd like to nominate @Severus Alexander in my place: not only is he a great friend who has helped me many times in identifying coins, but he also provides an invaluable service to the ancient coins community with his impressive auctions. I think he deserves it.

Entry Post. I would choose the
United States: bronze 2-cent piece, 1865.
I like the history of a coin of that age, and it is neat to have a coin no longer made like a 2 cent coin.

I'm with you: there's something about the obsolete, "even-numbered" coinage that I like. Recently, I've developed a passion for Norwegian 2 Øre coins, now obsolete, about the size of our nickels.

Entry post. Either the Latvian coin or the Philippine peso. I love both designs. I may have to sell my other Latvian coin in order to raise funds for the new one...
