Can’t say it’s shocking. They’ve been nerfing them for a long time unless you stop buying then bonus offers seem to magically appear
I get decent reward points with their card, use it for everyday purchases, fuel, groceries, Medicines and a few other incidentals, pay it off every month then in or around November i trade in the reward points for gift cards to be given as Christmas gifts, last year i was able to get seven $50 gift cards from Various merchants, the key is as with all CC's is never carry over a balance. I don't think this will hurt Ebay sales as you were only getting one Cent per Dollar spent but those special offer day's of 5%, 8% and 10% Ebay Bucks did add up quick especially with larger purchases, time will tell i guess!
Please remember, Ebay is a business and they routinely look for ways to make more revenue. Although taking away a Rewards Program is stupid and NOT popular with customers, they figure they may be able to save some of them trough prostituting their New credit card program. Personally, I would get their card and ONLY buy Ebay items and pay it off monthly so I get the reward and they get NO interest. Play their game and screw them though.
