Hello Everyone! How are you doing guys?
It's been a long time...I'm still in vacation in Sydney,AU. I did huge coin shopping.
For the first time, I bought PRICED,SLABBED AND GRADED coins :D :smile
Untill now,I was buying RAW coins...back in Lebanon.
I bought some indian head once cents,Lincoln 1911 (old date) The oldest wheat cents I have found in Lebanon was 1940's & 1950's.I'm so glad to find old coins for true prices.

Besides the coins I'm adding to my collection.
I found an early Capped Bust Half Dollar; It was my first time that I see such early american die!I always admired the american coinage.Specially the early ones.I love seeing the word "Liberty" on such old things. We're 2009 and in many countries Liberty is ignored but back to 1776 the Liberty was proclamated in United States of America.
so,I couldn't resist when I found this coin and wanted to own it!
Here are the photos of my first Capped Bust/Early Half Dollar:

Let me know what do u think about the GRADE.
And is my coin an "overton" variety?
    cheers

Thanks for posting, I am currently trying to track down an 1810 version of this coin. I found out I am going to be a father and the baby will be born in 2010. I thought it would be cool (probably for me more than a child) to have a 200 year old coin passed on. Thanks for the good pics, I am really interested in these "Bust" coins.

    Cheers,
    Chris Kampmann

I would grade it between a vg and a g, I cant see libertys clasp, the stars are running into the rim,

I am thinking VG-8 - strength of ear and eye with clasp being weak on this coin. And I think an O-110 R1. Not a hundred percent sure on the variety.

Nice coin Hagop! I will venture a G-7 :goofer: grade. It's a high "good" grade but I just don't think it cracks VG.

A lot of detail left for a G grade, I'll go with VG. Nice coin. :high5:

I really like the nice even toning around the devices, looks like you picked a nice example for your collection.
