I can only think of only one reason that this "GEM BU * RED! * ULTRA RARE!!!" coin is not in a first tier slab.

Take a look at who the seller is. On a recent thread the concensus seemed to be that the seller doctors his photos to make his raw coins look much better than they really are.

 

I agree with Hobo i`ve even seen this before and i`m fairly new to these forums .

 

Hello Hobo, I'm familiar with that recent thread. I thought this "gem" might be a good example to ask "why isn't that coin in a slab?"

Even though they "adjust" the coloration ( good reason to use black background), I think they didn't send it to a top TPG is that in real life the color would give it away.

Oddly, they seem to attract some money though.
