Tu domine spes 1752

    Hi I have told by some of the people on whats it worth to ask you people if you can tell me anything about this coin I have been told it is a forgery ???
    The coin is silver in colour it is 2mm in diameter light in weight but does not feel like ALUMINIUM as I have some of those coins .

    Some kind of cast fake, but not the most common variety.

    The "coin" is patterned after an Austrian gold ducat. That would be 3.5g and a different color, not to mention that the surface wouldn't have that bubbly cast appearance.

    The most commonly seen fake is the brass piece from a Readers Digest promotion several decades ago, but that too would be a different color.

    Do a forum search on "tu domine spes" and you'll find several threads, dating back at least five years, dealing with various incarnations of this legend and design.
