    Thank you for welcoming me

I haken a haven't taken a picture yet but I'm gonna try to find someone who can. It's in excellent condition. It's wierd. It's even doubled on the face and the building on the back. And thank you for the welcome by the way. I would love to get more information on this.

Could it be machine doubling? Or perhaps a double-struck coin (as opposed to a doubleD die)?

You should write a thread introducing yourself , and ask your question there . I collect Type coins so I know very little about errors or double dies , are you sure it isn't machine doubling ? Maybe it got stuck in the collar and was struck twice , also this is the time more people start to come online .

If so, then that would be a great find! However, much of the time when a Jefferson Nickel has what looks like strong doubling on both the Obverse (Front) and the Reverse (Back), it is usually severe Die Deterioration doubling of both Dies.

Please post some pictures as soon as possible. Some of us here get antsy and start to doubt the poster's claim!

Hey guys,I haven't forgot about the picture of the 1960 nickel.
I'll be getting the picture of that 1960 DD nickel tomorrow to show ya'll. It's definatley a DD. You can see both of the layers all throughout it. I'll try to get angles of it also.

Gosh, an old thread revived. I have here a 1960 Philadelphia nickel with the entire lower reverse doubled. There is in effect, an extra step. The dome is also doubled. Monticello is doubled or machine doubling. The obverse has a double profile. All of the devices on the obverse are doubled. It is interesting that someone mentioned this about another 1960 nickel. I'm curious, is this a 1960 problem? I'll try and get some better photos than what I see above if people are still interested in this sort of thing.

It very well could be deteriorated dies, I have 2-3 rolls that appear to be double and triple die. I'll post picts in a few minutes.
