The other box of pennies I picked up today are 2001 or older. Hmm. Just wonding if I got somebody CRH box?

Can't get any boxes been having enough luck with rolls going to get some more tomorrow.

 

With wrappers like that, you definitely got someone's dump at least. Could be just someone who turned in a bunch. Not necessarily a CRH dump.
Def check for varieties in those rolls.

 

even if the rolls are checked i always go for the AM's and look for doubled ears haven't found any yet but there cool looking.

 

What you have is a time traveler's coin box; it's simply that the coins have been put away since around 2001. Perhaps they have been kept in roll form the entire time or perhaps someone filled up a coin jar nearly 20 years ago and had it in their closet until now before they decided to roll them up for deposit.

It is quite unlikely they're specific to being someone's CRH box but you will be able to easily determine this by the presence of wheat cents, or lack thereof. At any rate, I would keep a couple of rolls intact as you found them for posterity and sort through the rest for whatever interests you in collecting (older high-grade cents, varieties, etc.).

 

Don't forget to look for another bunch of valuable (more valuable) varieties. I'm not sure what you have on your list, but mine grew and shrank as I became more aware.

 

I look for more those are just my top 2 on the list.

 

I think I see a 1953 D in the picture. solooks like there might be some wheaties in there. It's kind of blurry, so I may be wrong. The 1953 is just SW of the bright 2001 on top.

With wrappers like that I'd guess it was someone's copper saves from coin roll hunting they decided to get rid of. Wondering if you are finding any wheats or cents dated 82 and beyond...if no wheats and no 82s you could definitely draw that conclusion.
If there's 82s but none are zinc you could also draw that conclusion is copper saves from roll hunting.

Doesn't mean there can't be any varieties in there still though, it depends on how thourough they were searching.
Judging from the picture there's zinc in there. But that's a good sign also. If nothing is dated after 2001 it's likely a prime hunting box for the 1992 CAM, 98,99, 2000 WAM ect.
Also possible to maybe even get NICE examples if they are in there.

 

Only made it through a couple rolls. No wheats! Don't think their will be. Looks like I will be hunting for some varieties and possible errors.
