I just started teaching that play yesterday! I told my students that Arthur Miller marrying Marilyn Monroe in 1956 gave hope to nerdy guys everywhere.
Shucks, I can do that, give me oh, about 35 years. Forget it, I'll be on my way to forever land. Congratulations on the achievement. Be safe and forever happy!
I'm trying to see if I can load the video Gavin Richardson said Well dangit, the bandit strikes again. It was a GIF of Sally Fields's "you like me" Oscar acceptance speech. Trust me, it was hilarious
I watched that last night! I like the 1985 Dustin Hoffman version, but enjoyed Kevin McCarthy as Biff in the 1951 version. I had just known him as an old character actor.
You can, but you have to trawl through all the fakes. As well as earning 100,000 likes, he's probably given as many away too. I always see him liking my fairly limited contributions, which is always nice.
..most of the actors in the 1st movie were also in the '49 Broadway play too.....Dustin Hoffman is also one o me favorite actors...
A skilled collector, a pleasure to chat with Alegandron - and also a gentleman. I estimate that in about 237 years I will also reach this milestone.
Congrats, @Alegandron! And thanks, @Andres2, for pointing out the milestone. ...Seriously, @Alegandron, besides generally being the greatest of all time (yawn), I have to wonder just how much of this tent you're holding up all by yourself. You're definitely one of the folks who keep me coming back here. (...On second thought, how much of an endorsement is that?)
LOL, thank you EVERYONE. It was great to come home to read all these congrats, and some of the FUNNY ones! Thank you. Really helped my day. Had to get up early to take my wife to the Hospital (not an emergency), that is 1-1/2 hours away. She is basically deaf, so they are getting hearing aids, and other accoutrements for her. Then, en route home, total breakdown of our truck. Lost bearings on one of the pulleys on engine, threw all the belts, and total shutdown...no electrical, engine overheat, etc. 5 hours to get a tow truck to come out, then another 1hr to take it to a shop in a town near us. We live in Northern Siberia, USA, so it could had been a chilly day (we have been 10-15 degrees below, F for the last week.) Fortunately, we are above freezing today! Coming home to this thread really BRIGHTENED my day! THANK YOU EVERYONE!
